Frequently asked questions
How booking works, what it costs, and how payments and cancellations are handled. For questions about a specific service, each service guide has its own.
Booking a professional
How does Criadiv work?
You post a request describing the service, date, location and budget. Verified professionals who are available respond with offers, and you compare profiles, previous work and ratings before choosing. Payment is held in escrow when you book and released to the professional after the job is done.
How much does it cost to use Criadiv?
Posting a request and comparing offers is free. What you pay is the price agreed with the professional you book. Criadiv takes a transaction fee from the professional's side rather than charging clients to use the platform.
How quickly will I get offers?
It depends on the service, your location and how far ahead your date is. Requests with a clear date, location and budget get responses faster, because professionals can tell immediately whether they are free and whether the job fits. Vague requests tend to sit unanswered.
Can I book someone at short notice?
Often, yes. Short-notice availability varies by service — a DJ or a bartender works alone and needs little lead time, while a multi-camera video shoot or a plated menu for two hundred guests needs much longer. Post your date and see who responds rather than assuming it is too late.
How do I know a professional is trustworthy?
Professionals are verified as part of joining Criadiv, and their profiles show previous work and ratings from earlier bookings. Payment held in escrow adds a second layer: money is not released until the job is complete, so neither side is exposed if something goes wrong.
What areas does Criadiv cover?
Criadiv operates across the United States. Coverage depth varies by city and by service, since it depends on how many professionals in that category work in your area. Posting a request is the quickest way to see who is actually available near you.
Payments and cancellations
When do I pay?
Payment is taken when you confirm a booking, but it is held in escrow rather than passed straight to the professional. The funds are released after the job is done. This protects clients from paying upfront for work that has not happened and professionals from chasing payment afterwards.
What happens if I need to cancel?
Cancellations are governed by the Cancellation Policy, which covers refunds, rescheduling and no-shows. What you get back generally depends on how close to the event date you cancel, because professionals turn down other work to hold your date.
What if the professional cancels?
Because payment is held in escrow rather than released upfront, your money has not already gone to them. The Cancellation Policy sets out how this is handled. Tell us as soon as it happens — the sooner a date is reopened, the more likely it is that someone else is still free.
For professionals
How do I list my services on Criadiv?
Create a professional account, complete verification, and build a profile with your work, rates and the areas you cover. Once you are live you can see client requests that match what you do and send offers directly.
What does Criadiv charge professionals?
Criadiv takes a transaction fee on completed bookings. The Founding Professional Program offers a reduced rate for the lifetime of the account to the first fifty professionals who join the platform.
When do I get paid?
Funds are held in escrow from the moment a client books, and released to you after the job is complete. You are not invoicing afterwards or waiting on a client to remember.
